Sweet Lucite? Faceted Necklace from Hong Kong

My Mom’s neighbor gave this to me. It belonged to his Mom. I’ve found she loved pastels.

I’m guessing it must be Lucite as it us light asa feather. It has some type of iridescent coating that makes the beads shimmer in the light. Although it is not an expensiveg piece, it is very sweet and nice for summer. It it marked Hong Kong on the fancy clasp and measures 20” in length. I’m guessing 1950’s or early 60’s. Am I close?
