Looks like it was cut out by hand with a plasma cutter, definitely not CNC.
Completely ignorant about it....anyone out there can shine some light on its history, please share
    Thanks

      Hey that’s a pretty good theory. ????????
Although it’s approximately 12” by 16” so it’s rather large for painting a bike.
I’m still under the assumption someone that had access to a shop, and the skill to pull it off free hand, just decided to make a cool Harley #1 Racing Sign in his free time. Now if that someone was Willie G. Davidson, the guy that introduced the #1 logo, or an employee that worked in the original racing shop with him, I’d have me something worth a pretty penny. Would need a picture to verify that of course. More than likely it was just an average Joe, like me, working at your average American shop. Haha
