This Mauthe clock was a purchase that I made from the Facebook Marketplace. The mark on the clock movement dates it from 1900 - 1928, the maker's mark changed in 1929.
The face is worn from age and acid from fingertips changing the time and at one time it had ornaments on each side of the case that are gone now. It stands 13.5 " tall, 9" in width, 5 inches in depth. It is in working order and keeps great time.
Mauthe supplied unmarked movements for English clocks, If you have a FOREIGN (brand name) clock, more than likely you have a Mauthe movement in it. Gustav Becker's clock company also supplied movements to the English market.
Stunning clock!! Nice find!
