These salt dips are 4" long x 2.5" high x 2" wide. When I was a child my family alternated summer driving vacations between Florida and California, but one year we drove through New England and went to Expo 67 in Montreal. I was 12 years old that year. Those were the Route 66 years so I saw lots of giant balls of (fill in the blank) and other remarkable sights. Oh, the fine dining at HoJo and Smuckers restaurants! On the way to Canada, we stopped at Ausable Chasm and these were being sold in the gift shop. I remember that the folks at the gift shop were quite excited about these as they said that they were just recently being reproduced by an American company from antique molds. I bought two pairs, one pair in amber and one in blue. I have since broken one of the ambers. The folks at the gift shop must have been great salespeople as I usually bought knives, collectible coins and oddities like whale teeth!
