Hello everyone!!
This is the last of the Boston Terriers I have in my collection, for now anyway. Believe it or not, this one isn't a doorstop, but a still bank instead. He's also not cast iron, but cast aluminum. He's detailed exactly like the cast iron doorstops, with the exception of the coin slot in the back if his neck. He'd been carelessly brush painted with yellow and white paint, when I rescued him, so I decided to strip him and repaint him. This is a two piece design held together with two screws. He measures approximately 10" tall and 9 3/4" long. I fabricated a little leather collar for him in my shop to dress him up a bit. I believe this could possibly be a Vindex Toy bank from the 1930's as Vindex Toys did produce aluminum Boston Terrier banks during that period. I'll start posting some of my Dachshunds very soon.
Thanks for stopping in for a look!!
