Hello everyone!!!
Besides Boston Terriers, rabbits and hares, I have a few Dachshunds in my collection. Here's a one of my Dachshund doorstops. And though it doesn't like anything special, it's actually a very rare one. I've only seen a couple others and they were on the internet. This one was made by Taylor Cook and patented in 1930. It has No. 8 engraved in the back, as you'll see in pic #2. He's just as I found him. He does have a very small amount of paint loss, but still retains 98% of his original paint. I did clean him up and apply a thin coat of transparent wax. He measures 7 1/4" long and 5 1/2" tall. He weighs 5kb 7oz. Hope you enjoy seeing him.

Lol Karen!! Yes, she is. Taylor Cook had these in a series of whimsical doorstops back then and I still don't know why they chose such funky colors. But, they did.

Thank you Jenni!! Taylor Cook painted these to look very whimsical. Apparently, Taylor Cook produced a series of whimsical doorstops and this dachshund was the last of that series.
