I have been much to my dismay trying to find more information on this gorgeous teak chair I purchased. It is very sturdy, beautiful craftmanship and had a clearly identifiable makers mark but I have been unable to identify it. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks and enjoy

I just acquired an oak and leather chair with the exact same makers mark. Any luck identifying the maker?

I'm not sure if I can help or simply add to the confusion. There was an importer named Moreddi who imported teak furniture that had no makers mark or manufacturer reference. It was only marked with the initials of the artist that created it. In this case the mark appears to be Jb which may or may not refer to John Bon. I will warn you before you begin, researching him isn't an easy task. Little of his work was seen in the USA and a bit more in Canada. He seems to be elusive.

      Great Piece.... Possibky Danish?
I cant promise it, but you might find it, when you follow the link to the furniture index of the danish design museum https://ext.kb.dk/F/-?func=option-update-lng&file_name=find-a&local_base=kib02&p_con_lng=eng

I agree 100% because Moreddi imported Danish furniture. Mostly to the west coast.
