I bought this at an estate sale. Edward Miller and Co. I looked this up on the internet and found the base, but haven’t found anything about the shade. Does anyone know how I can confirm if the shade I said the original?

Yes shade is a original but I couldn't say if it was always with this base . I have had several of these slag glass antique lamps. The curved glass is very expensive to replace unlike flat pieces . Use low wattage bulbs only or it could heat glass and make it crack . Very nice lamp .

Thanks for the information. I also found a patent date on the socket of 1907. I realize that does not mean the socket was made then, but a good sign of authenticity.
