Another very nice ashtray from a now defunct brewery in the UK. Hull is (was) a huge fishing and trading port but the 1970's brought a steady decline in its position as a major coastal hub. Pity, as whenever I've visited the place, I've always thought it to be quite a nice place, but it does seem to be the butt of a lot of jokes about how grotty and run-down it is.
It seems as though the brewery itself is now closed after being taken over by Norther Dairies in 1972. I cannot even fathom a date when it was made but if anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd be very grateful.
A great looking ashtray and one that certainly stands out in my collection.
