Found this on Craigslist, I looked the other way for 2 weeks! finally called the guy and he still had it. Now it's mine and I'm wondering who made it and when was it made? Somebody reupholstered it, can't find tags or stamps. Has claw feet without the ball, kinda creepy feet. Is it a wing back? or a butterfly back?
I'm not positive about the ID, but it's an amazing chair! The number of pins around the edges helps to dictate the value. Maybe I should say it's a great clue that the chair carries a lot of value. Wish I could be more help.
Beautiful!!!.. very old chair..called a channel back lounge chair, the wood looks like it may be walnut but could be wrong, as can’t see that well, if it is!.. it’s a possibility it may be French..hope this gives you something work with..:-)
