I paid a fair amount (for me) of $13 for this one as I haven't seen an interesting paperweight in a while. It is about 3" in diameter, roughly spherical. My photos make it look jumbled but the components are laid out in a very orderly fashion, with a ring of single bubbles going around the circumference of the the piece.
I was certain that it was Murano until I turned it over and saw a really sharp, snapped pontil which has not been worked at all. Not sure what the origin is now. I don't think that I have seen any Chinese made pieces which are this complicated, yet, but it could still be Chinese. It has some fairly heavy, random wear to the bottom, so I think it is an older piece. Not marked. Comments welcome.
Thanks MALKEY!
This looks too ornate and intricate to be Chinese IMO. I'm no expert on these. This is a beautiful well crafted item.
@Toyrebel - I agree!

Gorgeous colorful paperweight, love the blooming flower in the center

This paperweight have beautiful colors. I love the bubbles. too. Great find!
@renedijkstra - Thanks for your comment! It is very well done. I am not able to capture all of the details. It is complex, while being done with great symmetry and control. I, too, doubt that it is Chinese.
@plein-air-painter - Thanks for your comment! I stop and look at it almost every time I walk by it.
