    Hello everyone!!!
Here's one of the many cast iron rabbits that I keep outdoors. I've had him for a few years, but he's not vintage. His original paint didn't hold up too well outdoors, so I repainted and sealed him. He's a fairly large and measures 13" long, 7 1/2" tall and 7 1/2" wide. He weighs a bit over 15 lbs.

Thanks for stopping in for a look!!!!

    Scott

Thank you Ken!! You're far too kind. That paint job took a whopping 20 minutes. Not one of my best by a long shot!! I'll stick to my day job for another few years and, hopefully, then I can retire.

I once worked at an aerospace company in Redmond, WA. For some reason, years before, someone had introduced a few huge multicolored rabbits to the property and every time I entered or left the main building there would be 10-20 descendants of these huge rabbits hunched all across the lawn in front of the building. You would have been in heaven jscott0363!

Here is a newspaper article about the rabbits. Looking for photos... This article was written several years after I left the region..

      A later article.

I do not believe that these Easter rabbits that were dumped. They may have been pet rabbits but were some huge breed of rabbit. I have to think that they were expensive rabbits.

Ugh, parts of these articles are a bit grim. Sorry about that! I just remember the "good times", never saw any dead or injured rabbits...
