I just cannot seem to find anything marked. This is a man in suit, fancy shoes hat and hands in pocket leaning on what seems to be a lame post. He is beige or off white and I am stomped on what it is such as resin, ceramic or porcelain or some stone, it has great carved details and on wood base, I sure hope someone has one or seen one before. He reminds me of the old black and white movie characters. Thanks.

Rather than just a man in nice clothes leaning on a post, I have the impression he is a man “down on his luck”, aka a “bum”.
Here’s why I say that: he needs a haircut, the brim of the hat is a bit tattered, the jacket and the trousers are far too big for him, the shirt collar is a bit loose - maybe not his correct size and the collar tips are upturned, his jacket has the collar upturned on one side, with hands in his pockets he looks like he may be supporting the too-big pants to keep them up.
Additionally, a man leaning on a post with his hands jammed in his pockets, wearing ill fitting clothes and tattered hat, seems like he has nowhere go, time to kill.

All that sounds like criticism but it’s totally not!
I actually like the figurine because of these subtle details at, on first glance, looks like a well dressed man. But closer inspection makes one see that there is some deeper message - a pleasant looking man, hopeful looking - and in need of some support, not just support by a post but support by fellow human beings.

That’s what I see but am I reading to much in to it??

You know watchsearcher I had those thoughts as well, so your input is beautiful. It makes it more than an admired object. I think he is beautiful and thank you for your thoughtful comment.

Wladyj111, I’m so glad you’ve had same thoughts.
His face shows he hasn’t resigned himself to his current needy condition so I think he looks positive, hopeful, better days are just around the corner. I like his attitude!
