      Neil,
About 1/2 way down the page on this link:

      https://www.acsilver.co.uk/acsnews/2015/11/20/russian-silver/

Once the new system was adopted in 1899, a uniform mark was used to hallmark Russian silver. The kokoshnik (the traditional woman’s headdress) is now the symbol for silver, followed again by the metal standard in zolotniks. Prior to 1908 the symbol faced to the left, however any silver produced after this year will depict the face to the right.

Thank you Dave for that information. Thinking out loud so this clock key is post 1899 and do we know the maker ? or can you stear me in the right direction please. Neil

      Neil,
I believe the <AT> is the makers mark, but I have been unable to find the A T in a diamond so far. I’ve checked most makers marks in most countries so far and have not found the exact mark.

To pw-collector. Hi Dave. I've done some digging on this silversmith and to my delight I've found him.
Alfred Thielemann (German)1870-1909. He was a Workmaster for Faberge. So I think I have a clock key from a very valuable Faberge timepiece. Not sure what to do now with it now, any ideas ?
