Sometimes a shape will give a maker away, other times it's a decor. I've had the cranberry salt here for years but only knew it was a Welz with the recent acquisition of this spatter version.

Discoveries such as this are of huge importance to me, as they allow us to identify Welz production that otherwise would simply remain unidentified as being theirs. Without the decoupage spatter being found on the same shape, the form would not be identifiable as being by Welz. Suspected to be Welz?... possibly..... but not confirmed as Welz production without the spatter version being found.
So much of my research has been aided by collectors around the world sharing finds such as this for us all to learn from. Thanks!!
Hi Craig. Glad I can make a small contribution to the ever growing Welz catalogue:) I have quite a lot of cranberry glass and a few bits show Welz traits, but, as you say, plain glass is so difficult to attribute, unless it's in a known shape.
