    Tripple Crown WINNER! JUNE 8, 1946
    This is a very rare photo postcard of a Tripple Crown Winner from a world famous ranch in Texas, KING RANCH.
    This horse named, "Assault" was also related to a famous horse named, "Man o' War".

      Wonderful post, I grew up watching horse racing with my family and saw a famous racehorse Majestic Prince vie for the Triple Crown Belmont Stakes (he lost), so I can appreciate the excitement of the three race winner. Much appreciate the history

      The King Ranch was bought with gold from the King Gold Mine in NE Alabama. The 1st real gold strike in the Colonies, which included GA & SC. As a kid, I have panned streams in the area. Interesting, but totally worthless info.. LOL! That was when we got $32 per oz. ! Hindsight still haunts me !
