Just a fun old thing from France, souvenir type item bought during a Paris visit, with Tour Eiffel, on both sides of the mechanism hinged disc. Body has knobs to change the day of the week and the month. The dates are numbered white enamel on metal tabs that are stacked in order, and fall in place of the opening, as you keep rotating to get the right date, both sides are used consecutively. Not marked, at 3.5 inches high.

I tried to clean it a bit, but metal is too eroded, and the Paris scene is a transferred illustration that is very fragile on the metal's surface. I have been to Paris twice, and saw the Eiffel Tower in all it's glory, in the middle of a beautiful large garden and benches for visitors.

Jenni, my Dad was a cosmopolitan guy and an entrepreneur. He paid for my trip, and I was so grateful for his gift. I met him there with a lawyer and his wife he knew. They lived in one of those huge old French apartments with 1o foot ceilings, and full of wall marquetry with gold accents on white, it felt like a palace.

Thanks for your comment, I agree, we did have some special times.
