    Hello everyone!!
While going thru some things in my storage unit yesterday, I stumbled across this fellow. I had forgotten all about him. It's another of my Boston Terrier doorstops. I don't believe he's too old, possibly 1940's or 1950's. He may even be a reproduction, but I still like him and the way he's painted. Judging by the slight outline around his neck, I'd say that this fellow originally had a collar that is long gone. He does have some paint loss, especially around his feet. He measures 10 1/4" tall and 10" long and weighs 8.2 lbs.

Thanks for stopping in for a look!!

    Scott

      Karen,
Unfortunately, this was the last Boston Terrier I have in my collection (for now anyway). I'll be posting a few rabbits and hares soon.

      Hi Eileen,
Thanks!! Right facing, or left facing can be used for any door. The left facing are the least common as only 10% ever made were left facing. So, the left facing are the most desired by collectors.

My 2 cents is that he is certainly not a National Foundry pup nor an original Hubley. However, he could have come from a Hubley mold after Hubley sold out the molds. The measurements are right for a Hubley mold but the weight is wrong as is the paint job. Typically a pup from a Hubley mold will be over weight if made in a mold after the mold sale. The reason is because they were required to grind off the Hubley logo which resulted in the need of more material to fill that space.

this one is one the job, wide awake and ready to go....
Do you give names to these pets?
    20. jscott0363 jscott0363, 3 years ago
      Thanks Lori!!
No, we don't give names to these little fellows. But, our real life fur babies are named Carly (Dachshund), Copper (Mountain Cur) and Rosie (German Shepherd). They are all the apple of my eye!!
