Found this old purse at an estate sale. I can’t find another rendl purse with this kind of clasp, I think the shape looks 1940s but am not at all sure. Please let me know if you know about the decade or whether the leather is real. I looked it up most of the rendl purses are real leather. Any info welcome
Sure looks like real ostrich to me. You can always smell the leather, no matter how old the handbag is. This one is called the Kelly bag, named after the one and only Grace Kelly! I personally have never seen a clasp like this before. Very unique! Very chic. 1950's. Don't even see one now on eBay! These bags sell for a pretty penny tho. Welcome to CW.
