Here is a 1 3-4" goldtone & rhinestone seal brooch with a red eye & balancing a faux pearl ball, by Kramer (1943-1980) ca 1960s. Matched with a 3"H ocean blue glass seal from the 70s with the orig label from West Va's Kanawha Glass
Wow, the glass seal looks to be in mint condition, even the label looks new. I like the color on this one!
I love both these pieces- particularly the glass seal, it's so sleek and the colours it's in really add to the marine look of it, as a very small child I remember seeing California Sea Lions in the zoo and when they climbed up out of the water they always had this pose- sort of inquisitive looking? The little glass seal perfectly captures that!
Wonderful little seals!! I can't decide which I like best, they're both wonderful!
cute as can be ...smiling

Thanks MrsT, yes I was lucky to find the glass seal in great condition, and I too love that pretty blue by Kanawha, I always try to find an animal by them whenever available - recently found their rare parakeet and was super delighted as it's my fave bird since I owned a few, will do a post of it soon
Lauren thank you for the fabulous compliments & story about seeing the sea lions at the zoo, they are so wonderful and have such beautiful soulful eyes - in the orig film Dr Dolittle there is a gorgeous song Rex Harrison sings to a seal called When I Look in Your Eyes that I love, check it out online it's so sweet. You are right that blue has the perfect marine quality, and the animals do have a very alert inquisitiveness about them
Thanks Scott for enjoying the both pieces, I never know which two of a kinds will work together till putting them alongside each other, and really glad they were a good match for each other - your super compliments are very appreciated
Eileen I hoped you would recognize the Kramer seal, think it came from rl and as you say, the prices are higher there but they find a lot of obscure pieces - for instance Kramer did many great non figurals so it's hard to find their animals, I do keep a lookout tho. Yes I sure remember that lovely video of the seals at the CA port, it was terrific and you could even make out their voices, very cool! Thanks so much for enjoying both of them & the fantastic praise
Many thanks Mary for the sweet wonderful compliment, it is a really rough weekend for us still moving stuff into the new place, so great words like yours are a welcome boon to my spirits, thanx my friend
Roycroft super thanks for the fantastic compliment, I am totally grateful that you enjoyed these and always so glad to hear from you
