Can anyone help me figure out what I have? When the door is open the inside is metal... I was thinking maybe for a chamber pot.

Would you take a picture of the inside with door open ???? and look on bottom of furniture for any markings.
Looks to be a smoke stand. If the interior is lined with copper, then that's what it is. The interior would hold jar(s) of tobacco

Given the size and metal lining, I am inclined to think that it is a smoke stand. If that is a drawer above the open door, that would seem consistent with somewhere to place pipe cleaners, matches, etc.
I kinda agree with Jerry , but please check out all underneath and under drawer to see if any markings??? I just love the piece...
