While driving around looking for place to shoot photos, I found this thing in an abandoned farm house (in mid Michigan). I have no idea what year it is, but I just loved the look of it. It has a great color, and the details are amazing.

Great lines! I love the base. Somebody should 'repurpose' that thing. Looks like ca. 1946: http://www.antiqueappliances.com/products/restored/1946_kelvinator_uga.htm

Should submit it to the history channel. They have a show that
restores things for people. This is a prize.

It's in Midland Michigan. All the parts are there. It weighs a ton! 1948 model.

The place was abandoned, all the windows and door were missing. nothing much in there worth anything other than the fridge.

I have a 1948 working Kelvinator Model FM (SN: 5241360). Is there anyone who might know the value? Or who I might contact to determine value?

I am kind a of excited about this, I have one shown in the pic that works. I got it with the house, I bought years back, and mainly use it during the holidays for extra space to place foods or drinks. Now I just watched American Restoration, they were going to charge someone $1500 to restore his, and that it would be possible to worth up to $3000 once fixed.

Jim, why not post the house pics right here with the fridge? why make folks go else where?

Actually it's Jesse ... My Dad's name is Jim. :)

I can't seem to get it to post the images on here. I'm not that savvy I guess.
