I never had the opportunity to meet the men that collected these owls but let me tell you the story.
Two men (partners) lived together and collected vinyl LP's, VHS, DVD movies and owl and cat figurines from around the world, among other collections. They grew old, very old and were distant from their families for whatever reason. Both of these men had Alzheimer's disease and had no outside help. One of them died along with the cat and the other man would just stand outside looking down as he was confused and didn't know what to do.
I have the job of cleaning out the house that the family sold including all of the contents that they spent countless years working on collecting. Example, I have over 4,000 vintage classical music record albums to sort through and they are in perfect numerical order (see last photo). A blessing for me but how sad.
Anyway I thought that I would share some of the things that they loved to look at with the public.
Take care of your health and try to stay close to those who love you, like your family and me.
it sounds like these things fell into good hands. i just wrote my will yesterday, thinking i don't want everything just tossed.
How terribly sad. I just don't know what else to say. (They had a beautiful collection, though... I especially love the owls.)
