Peranakans are a lost mixed race of the chinese and malays. They were called the nonyas and the babas.
Handcarved and detailed.Notice the fusion of the design. Very tasteful and unique.

Thanks guys, glad to see all the collectorsweekly veterans here! Life is the same over at my side of the world. But temperatures been burning here- over 35-36 degree celcius at times; i had to stay indoors!
More about this interesting window. In modern days, the peranakans are now not recognised as a race but they are now considered as 'OTHERS' when they tick official documents. Anyway race is always a sensitive thing. Like how there are red ants,white ants, black ants.

i love Peranakan antiques! the colors they used are often fearless and beautiful! i have a large Peranakan Guangdong planter i found recently which is a real treasure. i have a few small things - little plates and spoons too. love your window flea!
