This lovely cornucopia set doesn't have a lot of age but is very much in the style of Art Nouveau.
The glass horn appears to be from Murano with it's golden ribbed and worked glass. It's beautifully made and was clearly tailor made as the three waves of the rim fit perfectly in the stand.
I don't know who made the bronze stand and was hoping someone might have an idea. It has two marks and one appears to be the production number 258/500. The other may be the makers mark, as shown in photo 4. I haven't been able to find a maker for that mark.
In total the cornucopia measures 36cm.
cool find R4F....
Sure is RCBF!
Wow, most unusual! Never seen anything quite like it...the glass looks Murano for sure...
That's very beautiful Karen!! I love the glass cornucopia and the bronze stand both. I don't recognize the hallmark on the bronze. Surely someone here on CW can identify the maker.
Thanks for agreeing on the glass IL, my Murano knowledge is not great but it seemed indicative to me. It's not my usual sort of decor but I like the whole thing!
Scott thanks for looking and loving. Possibly the bronze part is from small Italian maker that we will find out about some day.
Thanks Ken! She has some nice beads hanging in discrete places, and I could see her working as a stand for lovely jewellery to hang.
Thanks Ms Crystal. I think she needs some of your jewels :)
Karen this is sensational and so rare, what an amazing find. The elegant lady is beautifully formed, love the beading design throughout her body, and the golden cornucopia is gorgeous. My apologies for missing this right away, head in the clouds still in moving in mode :(
Thanks Jenni! She's not my usual thing but was too lovely to leave.
I hope the new place is a pleasure for yo.
This is amazingly gorgeous. I honestly don't think that's a 4 though Karen, it looks more like a symbol when you make the pic larger. At regular size I def see it as a 4 but blow it up! Do you have a magnifier or a jewelers loupe? Take a peek with that. I wouldn't have a clue where to look that up, I can't really tell what it is but def a symbol. Hope that helps!
Thanks Sue, I may have to knock back some of the verdigris to get a good look. Thar doesn't worry me because I am sure the aging has been deliberate, so I'm not destroying true patina.
