Murano glass millefiori paperweight - mid century era

A paperweight was what started my love of glass, many years ago when I was just a little kid.
I still love them, especially when they turn up in op shops for small sums, such as this nice specimen that I acquired from the Salvos for $4 last week.
As much as I like paperweights that have a rainbow of colours within, this one, with its restrained palette of white & green (reminiscent of peppermint boiled sweets) is a new favourite.
Unmarked but unmistakably Murano, from the 1950s - 1970s period.
