Recently, I have developed a taste for more unusual pieces. I especially like mid-century modern and brutalist pieces. I am not totally sure what I have here but I think it might be at least inspired by mid-century modern jewellery.

The brooch is unmarked and seems to be well made. It is rather large; about 3 1/4 inches. I am not sure what the metal is. The "stone" could be glass, although I didn't see any bubbles.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What I find a bit off is the shape and the use of this faceted stone. In my humble opinion, the two don't go together.
