Photos 1 and 2 are my Victorian Painted Lady Dollhouse vegetable garden.
All is orderly, rows straight, weed-free, dogs dare not enter, rabbits hide behind the scarecrow but keep their distance from the cabbages. What a fantasy!

Photo 3 and 4 are the way it really is in my backyard garden at home.
I raked up some straw and uncovered these 2 baby rabbits in a shallow depression in the soft garden soil. They were so adorable and tiny; I didn’t touch them but just observed that they must have been only hours or days old since their eyes seemed to be still sealed.
I covered them back with the straw and just let them be.

I had a few little decorative fence sections so I put them around my Romaine lettuce hoping they would block the mama rabbit.
That was just wishful thinking because she and the rest of her family just hopped right over and helped themselves.

They never bothered with asparagus, strawberries, cantaloupe, watermelon, okra, zucchini, tomatoes and blueberries so I didn’t begrudge them the Romaine.

I LOVE your fantasy garden and those baby rabbits are the cutest little things!! We have so many cottontail rabbits in our neighborhood and they seem almost domesticated. You can get so close to them and my dogs are simply ignored by them. But, they've done no damage, just cute to watch (for now anyway)

Jscotto363, thank you for the compliment and the love. I see 3 or 4 rabbits in the yard almost every morning. There’s plenty of clover and grass so I’m always hopeful they will be content with that and stay out of the garden.

      Vynil33rpm, thanks for the love!

Blunderbuss2, I’ll keep that in mind if store-bought meat ever becomes unavailable. Lol!

Roycroftbooksfromme1, wouldn’t that be nice if our real gardens could be so easy?
      Thanks for the love!

Thank both of you guys for the looking and leaving comments!

Love the rabbits and yes that is a fantasy garden. Never have tried growing veggies.

Fortapache, it’s really so easy to grow veggies except for initial soil prep and weeding.
You could do it!! Start with something small like a tomato plant. Or buy a package of asparagus roots and plant per online instructions....they will grow for many years with very little attention and produce asparagus so much better than store-bought. When mine start coming up every Spring, I pick some for lunch every day.
Another easy veggie is Sugar Snap Peas....grow those along with Sweet Million cherry tomatoes and you can just snack right there in the garden!
Oh dear, don’t get me started on gardening—I can’t shut up! :^D
