Beautiful Koi brooch!! Love the colors.
This is gorgeous, I don't believe I've ever seen a koi with these types of flowing fins sorta like beta's or fighting fish? I think his colours are really fitting too, like a pond on a golden afternoon maybe?

Lauren thanks for the excellent and perceptive comment, I also saw the Siamese fighting fish here esp the flowing fin, I used to keep them for pets as a girl (just one at a time, or they fight & kill each other), but this piece was called a koi fish & Boucher made others in this design - the face & flared tail looks koi but the scales & colors make this a fantasy koi
