Found this today at a thrift store and thought it looked cool AND it had a very old sticker on the bottom of it-can't find anything like it on the internet. It's about 24" tall.

People heat & distort bottles as art.

Look online for “slumped glass” and you will find similar items.
Slumping glass is a technique of heating glass until it is not quite melted but pliable/bendable so you can make quirky shapes of the glass object.
I believe that it what you have: a slumped glass bottle. It would have originally been just a regular glass bottle until someone partially melted and twisted it into this interesting shape.
You should post the bottom and the sticker if you still have it.

Still nothing...someone from another site said it was not handblown. Here's the markings on the bottle. The sticker, I was talking about, looked old (brown, like coffee stained brown) and had a handwritten '23' or something on it- I just threw it away; looked to me to be someone's private inventory sticker. I'm posting a pic of the bottom now. I have checked 'slump glass', 'bottle/glass art' , I've entered in numbers, 'oval O' (MIGHT be Owens Glass Co.?) I've entered 'bottles that have a pattern of small diamonds on the bottom'...I give up :-s
