British import mark on the right hand side ???
The mark to its left is the assay mark for Chester.
I haven't looked into the marks but I can see Vetraio has. I just want to say that from the design and engravings it looks like a victorian buckle bangle or if you would call it a bracelet maybe, but it has been altered? The buckle is missing and it has been changed so you can adapt the size?

Yes I only wanted to show you the style. It is not easy to find the exakt same marks/bangles/bracelets. Meny made these. You will have to look at the marks, the design and engravings to find your answers.
Looks like Victorian Cuff bracelet, or buckle bracelet. Might the buckle be missing? I see the mark of the Lion passant facing the left, but the head is facing face on. Sterling silver. I had some Lio Passant marks like this on some silverware and figured it was from around 1700 era, but it was quite worn too

We have already established this is without a doubt a victorian buckle bracelet missing its buckle. It is just a question of reading the marks and finding out who made it.
This is what I can read out. Sterling. Made by unknown maker in Chester England. The Chester mark in your piece was used from 1780 until today. I can not find the dateletter (the last in the row on your piece) in the charts because yours look a bit different but since yours doesn't have a dutymark it can not have been made 1784-1890 when those were used. Since it screams victorian I think it was made somewhere 1890-1901. Without the dateletter I can not rule out it could be a later victorian revival piece, but I doubt it.

The most similar one is the one for 1938? If you agree that would mean it is a victorian revival piece.
I believe the maker is S&E ....... for Somers & Eccles.

It could be antiquerose, but if you use the link I wrote you can find Smith & Ewen of Birmingham that has S&E in an owal too. So it is hard to be sure.
Okay, maybe they could post it also on that silver forum and see what they say, or if they have a better idea of the mark. Like you said, hard to be sure -

Yes antiquerose, that they could do.
I also find it confusing that they sometimes call Chester marks town marks and sometimes assay marks. They say you should first identifye the assay mark and then you can get the date and find the makers mark. Then you will see a list of makers from different citys.......?
I still cannot find the date but the assay mark is definitely chester
