" rare antique barber bottle boasting a vivid blue aurene oil spot finish measuring 8-1/4” inches tall by 1-1/8” inches across the top It came with the wrong pouring spout meant for a liquor bottle that fits the hold but is not secure. The bottle is unmarked and in very good condition free of large chips, cracks or other damage. Received email: I believe this is a Fritz Heckert bottle ca 1902. There is a pic of this cobalt decor on pg 216 of Zelasko's Heckert reference book. It is their blue take-off of Wilhelm Kralik's famous golden "Bacillus" décor.
That was the dealer's description. The spout problem was solved with Scotch tape., so now it is securely in place. As to its being Heckert, no comments The last photo shows other pieces in the same decor.
