Hello I have this interesting looking stone and have no idea what it might be, so hoping someone has a idea. Cameosleuth was a real help with stones but not sure if they come on this site anymore

It is not possible to give a trustworthy answer to what stone it is just by looking at photos. You need to have it tested or it will just be guesses. Sorry but that is how it is.

Any help is better than not knowing at all. I think cameo thought this stone might be tanzanite but needed to see the true colour, which is why I took another pic now it’s sunny

Definitely not Tanzanite, Tanzanite is blue.

Thanks jean for spotting that, someone said it might be amethyst, I normally find amethyst a darker colour

It could be a Rose de France amethyst (lilac to lite pink in color) or possibly a Kunzite, but just as it was mentioned, take it to a trusted gemologist.
