Help please! :) This appears to be a nearly flat 3 seam pressed glass compote. 5 1/4 in wide, 3 in tall. Simple pattern (hard to see in my "lack o skills" photography :) consisting of dew or raindrops ending in a small fan. Also has a simple leaf pattern etched around it. The seam lines twist as they rise up the stem...similar to Bryce Bro's. compotes that I have. I don't think this is that old considering no reaction to UV light. Also, relatively thin and liteweight. I'm thinking elegant glass? early to mid century? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...Thanks.
Try Heisey Empress pattern?
Wow thank you subverivegrrl...I believe you have pointed me in the right direction. After researching the Heisey info I am nearly certain it is of the "Empress" pattern. I did however notice the Heisey " Old Dominion" pattern to be similar. What's your thoughts?
Ah, I'm not good enough to advise you there. I know that small changes were sometimes made to an existing line and a different name given to the resulting shape. Also, remember that patterns are a combination of the shape/blank and any subsequent treatment (etching, color, etc.) I'll take a look at Old Dominion and see if I can tell what the difference is.
