Found this in the rafters of our home. There are two tiny holes for filaments nothing remains in the bulb. There is a number 3 stamped into the glass. It's heavy and the glass is textured. It's 7 inches tip to tip and 4 inches across. Any ideas about it's purpose and age would be wonderful.
What are firmaments ? That is a float for a toilet tank .
Agree w/ slackjack, definitely not a light bulb. Toilet tank float seems a much more likely purpose for it, given the pics/description. Cool thing anyways?! :-) :-)
I don't think it would be a tank float. I corrected the misspelling. The tiny holes would fit filaments.
