It has many air bubbles, a side seam, a triangle and 17 on bottom, and only says Masons Patent Nov 30 1858 on front. It's a wax top, and has no other symbols or marks ..

I'm a little familiar with aging Ball jars but this one has me stumped !! I can't find one online that matches .. there has to be someone that knows about these !?? Thanks !

Fruit jars with this embossing were made for about 60 years, by many different glass houses. Up until about 1900 (give or take a bit, depending on maker) they were made by hand & have a ground lip & after that with a smooth lip, indicating machine made jars. This jar takes a zinc screw lid, so it's not a "wax top". This one looks to be a ground lip, guessing 1870s-1890s.
