Follow up post from yesterday's show and tell of a refurbished sterling silver nugget link bracelet.
I keep pictures of what I have for a long time, and even use USB thumb drives to back up and save them, when a change in computer is imminent. Yesterday I went and searched for a particular bracelet I had, and at the same time came across some of my most loved vintage pieces I had collected.
Image 1. A highly artistic Chinese sterling silver link bracelet with four large carnelian cabochon stones, and filigree decorations. Fully marked on the reversed side.
Image 2. A heavy solid sterling silver Mexico bracelet with lozenge shaped links and stone inserts of coral and tiger eye in geometric shapes, fully hallmarked.
Image 3. An American designer Joan Slifka bracelet with charms in the shape of crosses, and a design on the back surface each with a different color stone insert. Vintage 90s to present. See https://lapetitfleur.com/joan-slifka for more new examples with hearts etc. Highly valued to my own surprise after I got it in a vintage jewelry auction estate lot.
Image 4. A solid sterling silver Chile bangle bracelet, with lapis lazuli and black onyx stone inserts
All beautiful my fave is the lapis bangle
Thank Jenni and Mary.
That Slifka bracelet was a total surprise to me, a very nice person told me it was valuable, I had no idea. I just like this sort of multi stone and silver jewelry pieces. The people who sold it had no idea either, they had a group of sterling bracelets and this was one of them.
Sort of like you when you find an unexpected treasure in an unexpected place. We are blessed sometimes.
They are all so beautiful and special!!
These are all very nice! And I was pretty much guessing the stones and got them right by your account! Awesome!
Sumptuous indeedy! Magnifico!
