1950's Ginga Japanese Bicycle. Has an aftermarket rear brake installed, but original front brake has a rod instead of a cable. I am also fairly sure the light and generator and tail lights were not original. I am guessing those are 60's add ons.
Very few examples of this style of bike available, and I cannot find any like this marked "Ginga Cycle." I am told that US Market does not have many to compare to.
I am trying to find out if Ginga was a name licensed under another maker or if it was just a short lived brand. Also trying to figure out if it is early or late 50s.
Other markings:
- Ginga Cycle K.K.C Works
- Trade Mark Ginga Cycle
- Special Bicycle - Tokyo - Osaka
