One of my more recent creations. The Indian Chief is a tufa cast sterling piece. The claw is capped in hand wrought sterling sheet and accented with a nice little Arizona turquoise cab. The claw came from a gentleman I met at a gun show in St Charles, IL. He has a lodge in Alaska and was on his way south for the winter. We did a little bartering. I got a black bear pelt in exchange for a couple of my bear claw pendants. I got the claws. My son got the rest of the hide and made a cool mountain man hat.
How cool can it get?? I love your creation and the story!
Okay now! Excited to have you here on CW! Sounds like you got the best of the deal with the pelt! That reminds me, I have a tooth capped in gold, don't know exactly what kind of tooth it is, maybe you will know. will try to post soon!
By the way, I love tufa and sand cast pieces! Oh who am I kidding, I love it all! haha
Thanks for the comments. I'd love to see that tooth. The most common teeth I've seen are bear, raccoon and wolf.
