Such a cute little raccoon!!!!
Pretty little critter :) Fenton made some really cute pieces. I think they went out of business, did they not?
He's got such a sweet little face! His pose and face both remind me of a care bear somehow(I think the painted flowers on him bring care bears to my mind really!) and actually the way he sits also makes me think he's rearing up on his hind legs affectionately maybe after receiving praise?!
What a sweet little face.I used to live next to a park in Florida and there was all kinds raccoons running around that weren’t tamed but they weren’t feral either.None of them were aggressive and myself and most of the neighbors would leave them food at night.I managed to tame up one raccoon that I could pet and when I turned my back it would pat the back of my leg for a treat. It disappeared and I wondered what happened to it.Several months later I seen it’s eyes glowing in the dark under a bush and called. It slowly came to me and I gave it a treat and petted it.When I looked back at were she came from I seen 3 sets of little eyes glowing in the dark.By the third day her babies started carefully following her as she came to me and I would give them a treat.Within 2 weeks she would come out and her babies would follow her and sit on my shoes and I could pet them. This went on for about 3 months and they all disappeared.I have videos and pictures of all the time I spent with them that I’ll never forget. The sweet little face on this reminds me of the babies.
Many thanks all for the thoughtful love

Malkey thank you so much for the wonderful compliment, it is really kind of you and I'm so glad you liked this glass piece when your glass collection is beyond fabulous
Thanks Ken for the generous praise and appreciation for my raccoon, really glad you liked him
Scott I'm really glad you liked this little guy, thanks for the fab compliment :)
Yes MrsT Fenton did go out of business just a few yrs ago around 2012, a company bought them and opened a gift shop to disburse the last pieces. I really like Fenton's animals esp with the hand painted touches, that was very nice, and they made a wide variety of animals which I try to find to get some new ones into my collection. Many thanks for the super comment
Lauren that's a great thought, a care bear is a good guess - my husband looked at these pix and thought it didn't look like a raccoon, but the snout & wide whisker face is a pretty good indicator. Fenton made this in a duller opal glass where they painted the mask on his face, but I wanted the colored glass version & I'm very happy to have a new animal to show you, and love how you see him in a friendly way & always grateful for your kind praise
Thanks jb for the lovely compliment and great story, I love to hear about interaction with wild animals, first of all I think you're quite brave as our raccoons are garbage foragers & we're always warned to keep away from them. I have to admit though, they are adorable looking with the masks, stripes and cute little hands, and they DO look friendly :) That is so cute when you tamed one, it would pat the back of your leg for a treat! In the past we cared for a little group of feral cats that started out as kittens from a feral mom's litter, they became semi-tame and we fed them on the back porch, as they got older we even brought a couple to the vet for shots & anti-flea meds, but because we were parakeet owners couldn't make any indoor pets (we eventually brought them to no kill shelters with donations)
Thanks so much for the love iggy and Roycroft, it's always greatly appreciated and very nice of you
My girlfriend and I were recently camping and one of these critters invaded our camp on a couple of nites. trying to find some goodies. He was not shy at all, but could not get any good pics.
Such a cute little coon and a beautiful shade of blue!! Blue has always been my favorite color!!
Thanks iggy and TimeT for the super comments!
As a camper iggy I am sure you've seen your share of these night crawlers lol. I know, it is impossible to get good pix of these guys at night, sometimes only their eyes will glow like little aliens :)
Thanks TimeT for the lovely compliment, I am glad I located this lil raccoon to show you guys a new animal for a change! I love blue too, and this is a very nice medium shade that you don't often see, trust Fenton to have a name for it right
Thanks so much for the kind loves too
