Just sharing some great Fenton finds. The vases are Blue Opalescent Coin Dot pattern w/ double ruffled edge. 11 in tall each. Paid $5 each for the pair. And to make it more poetic...it was $5 each I paid with change :) The pitcher is 8 in tall and picked it up for $3 at my favorite thrift store. Nearly positive it's Fenton as well....."Coin Dot" pattern. The optics are great when displayed together. The pitcher has a very rough (one could easily cut themselves on it) pontil mark. Would figure Fenton would polish that. Could it possibly be older? It has the famous ribbed handle.
The ashtrays are also Fenton...the green one I have had for years...the blue is a recent find. Really love the blue color.
Thanks for the loves everyone ;)
the pontil mark would rule out Fenton as maker of the pitcher; also that sharp angular crimping is not typical of Fenton.
That what i was thinking Tallcakes....concerning the Pontil. Do you think it could be older?
I have looked everywhere...most research led me to Fenton...but I did see several of the same color and ribbed handle that were much older. Could this be one of them?
One more thing....most of the Fenton ones I came across the color seems to be just a little different. The Fenton seems to be more Cranberry colored and less Purple/Plum.
It could be a "Colonial Jug" by the Beacon Glass Company....circa 1946/1947 in Vineland New Jersey
Dalzell, Gilmore and Leighton Glass has a similar ruffle.
