Made in Birmingham in 1966, used by gpo telephone engineers working for the general post office installing telephones, I had one of these in my toolbox whilst training to be a telephone engineer, started on 1st August 1966 as a youth in training aged 19 . Dated “gpo 1966”. Started at the castle Bromwich depot in Birmingham.

Thanks all for your interest. I left the post office in December 1967, I then worked for British Leyland at the Morris commercial cars in Adderley Park, Birmingham in the cost office for a higher wage.
