This jarlet is 3.5 inches high and glazed with a mottled greenish brown with sgraffito decoration which is very precise. Quite a bit of the glaze has worn off, but enough is there to see the design. I bought this and a few other pieces from a Japanese friend who has been collecting for many years.
I confirmed that this is Khmer pottery from the vicinity of Angkor Wat - 15th century.
Why isn't there an Asian Pottery category?
