A fine looking little model of the (in) famous March 711 that came second in the thrilling 1971 Italian GP driven by Ronnie Peterson. It's interesting that this model is without the car's 'tea-tray' front spoiler (as raced at Monza for low drag on the straights) so it's now a challenge to see if I can track down a version with the spoiler in place. There's no maker's name anywhere on the box's underside, I can only presume it's on the underside of the car. As this is a fairly recent acquisition, I haven't got round to unscrewing it from the plinth to see if the maker's name is there.
Anyway, a great little die-cast model in absolutely pristine condition.
A small strip on the plinth reads, ' Licenced by Robin Herd Ltd'. Robin Herd being the 'r' in March.
