would this be considered chalkware?
He's a beauty, looks like the RCA Victor dog from the side

I am actually not sure. The dealer I buy them from calls them plaster dogs (?)

I think plaster is solid all the way through and chalkware has a hollow body cavity.
Chalkware can be solid too.
