    This is a painted bronze giardiniera measuring 17" long and 14" high. There are no markings. Any ideas as to origin, age and make? Thank you!

      After the opening of The Far East for trading in the second half of he 19th century there was a growing interest in the West for all things oriental. So it was probably there it was made. Notice the feet. They're copied from Western Europe furniture feet from that period.
