Please email me (pulvinar20@yahoo.com) with information about the piece you saw coming up for auction. I would like to find out more about my piece or possibly even obtain the other one so I can have a pair! Thx, Jeff.

Reminds me of Gustav Gurschner's bronze work.
    8. sarahoff sarahoff, 11 years ago
Sorry, I didn't realize you already had a Gurschner bronze in your collection. You've probably already ruled that out as an option:)

Yeah, as much as I would like to wish it, this piece is not in Gurschner's catalog raissone.

Hi everyone, I stumbled across this post via a google image search while trying to track down clues about my bronze ladies. The picture on this post is only the second unique image I've found (the other being a past auction on an auction site) - I've been searching for about 5 years and the images only started to appear in searches 2 days ago - very odd. Anyway, I have a pair of these (non-matching) and this one is what I think of as the 'right hand' candlestick, I've yet to see any images of the left one. Did you find anything else out about these or are you still stuck? The only help I can offer is that mine came through the family from someone wealthy with Austrian roots, so we assume that's where they originated - mine have no visible marks on either candlestick, unfortunately. If I can work out how to post an image I can put up a picture of the pair, if you're interested?
