Hello, I was hoping someone could tell me what this little statue is. I'm not sure if it's bronze, or painted brass, and why there are two nails going through it on the bottom. I don't know if this a modern piece or anything. I just liked the appearance of it, but it would be nice to know the history behind it, like what it symbolizes, it's age, and its purpose. Thank you so much in advanced!

I suspect the 2 nails originally held the figurine onto a wooden base.
