This is the Chribska response to the famous "Propeller" vase made by Skrdlovice. Easiest way to tell them apart is on the Chribska version the spirals turn counter-clockwise as they rise.

This is heavy, modern glass with a sommerso-like cobalt blue in rose interior cased in clear with twisted buttressing. The vase stands 7" (17.7 cm) tall. The nearly 4" (10 cm) diameter waist tapers to 2" (5 cm) at the top and base. The underside is flat and polished.

Not certain of the age - it seems this shape appears in the Chribska catalogs around the turn of this century.

I don't know how I missed this as I'm a fan of Chribska, I think it may be earlier than the turn of the century. I remember Chribska catalogues, middle to late nineties, that had glass of an altogether more modern style. I got the impression they were trying to meet more modern tastes. The Chribska company folded in 2002/2003 though I think that another glass maker may have taken over the buiding/equipment.

Thank you Peggy and Rene - you could very well be correct. I didn't notice it before 1999 in the catalogs I looked at but that doesn't always mean it wasn't there. It seemed like it should have been.

PS Rene - I'm not easily offended and always invite discussion. Welcome to the party.
