Hello everyone!
Another of my recent finds is a set of Victorian era bookends. These were made in France around 1900, or shortly before. They are depicting "Cherubs at Play". As you can see the little boy is playing a flute, while the little girl is blowing a kiss. These are made of Gray Metal, often referred to as spelter, white metal or pot metal, and plated with brass or bronze. They're so incredibly detailed right down to their little fingers and toes. They each measure 7" tall, 6" long and 4 3/4" at their widest point. These would be considered very rare in the bookend collectors world.
